PSK Staff

Our team this school year is an amazing group of Teachers and Assistants
led by their school Director. All are educated, experienced, have a love for children and a heart for Jesus to ​share while being in the classroom!
Pastor Dave Zemke is also close at hand leading our children's Chapel times and
​helping with various other PSK programs and activities!

Amanda Shaut

Program Director 
Toddler, Pre-K Teacher
Amanda comes to us with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Central Washington University. Here she focused on multiple courses in Child Development, Family Studies and Parent Education/Guidance. Her course work and professional background include a wide set of office management skills, administrative roles and training in Program Management/Planning, leading her to enjoy managing and working with a team. Amanda lives in the Battle Ground area with her husband and two young children. She has enjoyed volunteering with VBS and leading multiple youth mentoring programs. She has a heart for Jesus, a love for children and looks forward to continuing to serve this ministry!

Amy Hewitt

Three Year Old, Pre-K Teacher

Amy joined us as a Preschool Teacher several years ago and has continued to both teach and assist in many classes with different ages.  Amy and her husband live in the North County area with their two daughters and many animals. She has been involved with POP since her youngest attended Preschool here years ago. Amy holds her Stars 30 Hour Child Basics Training Certificate. We are thankful to have her contagious smile at POP and looking forward to her sharing her joyful spirit with your child.

Ambree Uvarov

Three Year Old, Pre-K Assistant
Toddler, Pre-K Assistant
Ambree is a loving mother of two daughters who both attended POP and she deeply values the connection between community and education. She has extensive experience as a Nanny for various families and has cultivated a nurturing environment that resonates in the classroom, where children thrive. Ambree loves being very active with her Church which reflects her commitment to service and inspiration within the community. Ambree also has a background in event planning and we appreciate that she pays attention to the small details that can make a big impact. Outside of Church and the classroom, Ambree enjoys camping, hiking and engaging in DIY renovation projects to create a warm and inviting home.

Anna Amdahl

Kindergarten Teacher
Anna has subbed for POP and been a wonderful volunteer since her daughter started at POP a couple years ago. Anna is excited to be joining POP as our lead Kindergarten Teacher. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and previously taught 2nd grade before taking time off to raise her two children. Anna has enjoyed being involved in her church and various youth activities over the years, including volunteering in the children’s ministry, helping with VBS and coaching youth sports. She loves spending time with her family, being outdoors, traveling, baking, and reading.

Ginger Dowdy

​Four Year Old, Pre-K Assistant

Ginger has been at POP school for the past 9 years with a mix of Teaching, Assisting and subbing in all areas. We are excited to have her assisting in our fours class this year. She is married and has 6 children. Ginger has lots of experience and training working with people with developmental disabilities as well as being a Nanny. Over the years, Ginger has also enjoyed being in the Church's nursery, teaching Sunday School and volunteering with many VBS programs. She enjoys the sunshine, vacationing anywhere where there is sun and water, spending time with my family and hanging out with their 4 miniature wiener dogs. Ginger has completed the Stars 30 Hour Child Basics Training and is looking forward to working with your children and share the love of Jesus.

Nikki Morris

Three Year Old, Pre-K Assistant
Nikki will be assisting in our Preschool class and has joined our team after being a wonderful parent volunteer first at POP. She comes to us with a degree in business but truly found joy in being a Nanny for many years while attending college. Now she is a mom of two kids who also attend POP! Nikki enjoys being outside, riding bikes, going on walks
​and gardening with her kiddos.

Kendall Nielsen

Kindergarten Teacher

Kendall is married to her high school sweetheart, Zach and is the Mama to three children. They are a part time homeschool family so she spends most of her days teaching her own children. Kendall holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Prior to staying home with her own children she was a classroom teacher and specialized in Mathematics. In her free time she enjoys spending time outside as a family and tending to their small
​hobby farm in the country.

Sarah Kohlenberger

Four Year Old, Pre-K Teacher
Sarah Kohlenberger has taught several different classes, summer camps and age levels at POP over the last several years she has been on staff.  We are blessed to have her teaching all of our Four Year Old classes. She holds her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Sarah was a 1st grade teacher for 4 years and a substitute teacher on and off while raising her 3 daughters.  She has been involved at Prince of Peace since her oldest daughter began attending preschool here in 2014.   Sarah brings a love for children and education, as well as a caring and patient heart to the classroom.

Shantina Fox

Three Year Old, Pre-K Teacher
Shantina comes to us with a background in Project Management and Human Resources. She holds her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Personnel Psychology and Human Resource Management with a minor in Psychology from Washington State University. Shantina has served her church in their Pre-K program for a number of years as well as working with their VBS programs. We are grateful she will be serving our POP families again this year. Shantina, her husband and her two kiddos live in the Yacolt area and love spending time together outdoors, drinking lots of coffee and being with friends and family!

Pastor Dave Zemke

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, LCMS

Pastor Dave is always close at hand and leads us each week during our Chapel Times and school programs.
​The students enjoy having our bible story, worship songs and prayer time together.
